Health Quest Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 10, 2026

HealthQuest is operated by TrueWellnessATX LLC d/b/a Equilibria Insights. This policy explains what we collect, why, how we protect it, and what you can do about it.

We have written this to be read. If anything is unclear, write to us at April@discoverhealthquest.com.

1. Two kinds of account

Adult accounts — a parent or guardian, or a person aged 13 to 17 registering individually.

Child profiles — created by a parent or guardian inside their own account, for a child under 13. A child cannot create an account themselves.

Sections 2 to 5 apply to adult accounts. Section 6 covers child profiles, and it is different.

2. What we collect from an adult account

When you register: your first name, your email address, and your date of birth.

When you use HealthQuest: your responses to the wellness barrier assessment, the goals you choose, your progress through quests and lessons, your daily mood selections, and your language preference.

If you subscribe: our payment processor handles your card details. We never see or store your card number. We store a reference linking your account to your subscription.

Automatically: how you use the platform — features opened, lessons completed, time spent — and basic device and browser information. Where you came from, if you arrived through a referral link or code.

3. Why we collect it

  • To run your account — signing you in, verifying your email, resetting passwords.

  • To make the product work for you — routing the right assessment questions for an age, choosing quests, and generating the guidance a parent sees.

  • To keep you informed — essential messages about your account, and, if you have asked for them, updates about HealthQuest.

  • To improve HealthQuest — understanding which parts are used and which are abandoned.

  • To support research, in aggregated form that does not identify anyone. See section 9.

We do not use your information to build advertising profiles, and we do not show advertising in HealthQuest.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We do not share it with advertising networks.

We share information only in these situations:

  • Our payment processor, to take subscription payments

  • Our email service provider, to send verification codes, account messages and, where you have opted in, updates

  • Our hosting and infrastructure providers, to run the service

  • Our error-monitoring provider, to diagnose faults. Personal information is removed before anything is sent.

  • Legal and regulatory authorities, where the law requires it

  • An acquirer, if HealthQuest is merged, acquired or sold, subject to applicable law

Each provider is bound by contract to protect your information and to use it only for the purpose we engaged them for.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your information while your account is open.

If you close your account, we delete or de-identify your information within 90 days, except where we must keep something to meet a legal or tax obligation — in which case we keep only that, for only as long as required.

Assessment responses and mood records are deleted with the account they belong to.

6. Child profiles — what is different

How a child’s profile is created. A parent or guardian registers their own account and verifies their email address with a one-time code. They then create their child’s profile from within their own signed-in account. No information is ever collected from a child directly, and a child is never asked to provide anything.

What we collect about a child. Only four things: their first name, their date of birth, a username their parent chooses, and a password the system generates.

What we deliberately do not collect. No email address. No phone number. No last name. No photograph. No location. No contact information of any kind. A child cannot be contacted through HealthQuest, by us or by anyone else.

What a child records. Quest and lesson progress, coins and levels, answers to assessment questions, and a daily mood chosen from a set of emoji.

A child cannot type free text anywhere in HealthQuest. The daily check-in is an emoji selected from a fixed set. The questions are fixed and the answers are chosen from options we wrote. They exist so a parent can see how their child is getting on with healthy habits.

This is deliberate. Free text is where unexpected personal information arrives — a child typing a friend’s name, a school, or something said at home. A closed set of choices makes that impossible.

What we never do with a child’s information:

  • We never show advertising to a child.

  • We never share a child’s information with advertising networks or data brokers.

  • We never allow third-party behavioural tracking on any page a child can reach.

  • We never allow a child to communicate with anyone outside their own family account.

What a parent or guardian can do, at any time:

  • see everything we hold about their child

  • correct it

  • delete their child’s profile and everything in it

  • withdraw their permission, which closes the child’s profile

Write to April@discoverhealthquest.com and we will act within 30 days.

7. Your rights

Everyone may see the information we hold about them, correct it, delete it, close their account, ask us to stop using it in particular ways, and opt out of marketing email.

Opting out of marketing does not stop essential account messages — password resets, your child’s login details, and notices about changes to this policy.

Residents of Texas and of other states with comprehensive privacy laws may have additional rights, including the right to know what is collected, to request deletion, and to appeal a refusal. We do not sell personal data or use it for targeted advertising. To exercise any right, write to April@discoverhealthquest.com.

8. Keeping information safe

Passwords are stored in a form we cannot read back. Connections are encrypted. Access to production systems is limited to those who need it.

Our error-monitoring system removes personal information — email addresses, names and IP addresses — before any report is sent, and this is verified against real captured events.

No system is completely secure. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by law.

9. Research

HealthQuest may use aggregated, de-identified information to understand how families use the product and to support research into health literacy. Aggregated means combined across many users. De-identified means nothing in it can be traced back to a person.

We do not use individual assessment responses, mood records or child data in any research without separate, explicit consent obtained for that purpose.

10. International users

HealthQuest is operated from the United States and your information is stored and processed there. If you use HealthQuest from outside the US, you consent to that transfer.

If you are in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with its own data protection law, you may have additional rights. Write to us and we will tell you what applies.

11. Language and translation

The English version of this policy is the official version.

Spanish is produced by machine translation together with manually maintained translations and has not been reviewed by a professional translator. It may contain errors, and some parts of the service may appear in English whichever language you choose.

Where the Spanish and English differ, the English governs. If anything in Spanish is unclear, rely on the English or write to us.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date at the top will change, and we will tell you about material changes in the platform or by email. Continuing to use HealthQuest after a change means you accept it.
